Regional Data Management for Pastoral Decision-Making
May 2025 - June 2026
Gascoyne Catchments Group is proud to be working with the Northern Hub through to June 2026, joining a national effort to build climate and drought resilience across regional Australia. Our Executive Officer, Krystie Bremer, is stepping into the role of Gascoyne Regional Node Manager, ensuring our region is included in valuable discussions, activities, and opportunities that matter to local pastoralists and communities.

What is a Node Manager?
Node Managers are the Northern Hub’s on-the-ground representatives. They work directly in their regions to connect landholders, local organisations, and communities with projects, resources, and practical solutions that strengthen resilience. Each Node Manager is hosted by a trusted local organisation – in our case, that’s GCG – and supported through the Future Drought Fund (FDF).
What They Do
Node Managers:
-
Represent the Northern Hub at local events and meetings
-
Speak on current Northern Hub projects and FDF initiatives
-
Deliver and support workshops, field days, and community engagement
-
Identify local needs, gaps, and ideas for future projects
-
Foster collaboration between producers, researchers, and agencies
Why It Matters
The Northern WA Node, now hosted by Gascoyne Catchments Group, connects pastoralists, industry, researchers, and community across our vast rangelands. This is more than just a partnership — it’s about strengthening local innovation, driving practical outcomes, and championing drought preparedness from the ground up.

This is a proud moment for GCG and a big step forward for WA’s pastoral industry. Together, we’re making sure our region’s voice is heard and our resilience is strengthened for the long term.
